Care

Heal with Hope.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
-2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Our Care ministry exists to meet people walking through seasons of suffering with the faith, hope and love of Christ embodied through prayer, service, community support, and counsel.  We accomplish this through our Gospel Centered Care Groups, Biblical Counselors, and Congregational Care Teams.

The Gospel-Centered Marriage Series is designed for marriage preparation and marriage enrichment open to married couples as well as singles who may be heading toward marriage. The materials are built upon a central premise - the gospel is foundational for a thriving marriage. Many other things may be helpful, but the heart change produced by embracing the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is essential to produce character change and give meaning to the mundaneness of daily living.

Navigating Destructive Relationships

Navigating Destructive Relationships Care Group invites individuals to invest 10 weeks of their life on Zoom to answer the question of what does a godly, emotionally healthy relationship look like when addiction, abuse, and fear of man have become the defining characteristic. This care group setting will provide a safe environment to sort through the wounds, confusion and unmet expectations that accompany these types of relationships while grounding our identity first and foremost in Christ in whose image we were created.

Overcoming Anger

Overcoming Anger Care Group invites individuals to invest 10 weeks of their life on Zoom to ponder what it means to be angry and not sin as the Bible states. This care group setting will probe areas like what motivates our anger, the differences between sinful and righteous expressions of anger, and how we are to biblically and rightly engage the individuals around us emotionally without being led by our anger.

Men's Purity

Men’s Purity Care Group invites men to invest 10 weeks of their life to study what it means to pursue purity from their struggles with sexual sin in areas such as pornography or adultery. This care group setting will provide an authentic environment to learn biblical insights and life skills that will give men the tools to more fully engage in biblical community while overcoming their struggle with sexual sin.

Women's Marriage Betrayal

Women's Marriage Betrayal Care Group invites women to invest 10 weeks to biblically explore what it looks like to mourn their spouse’s sinful choices, heal and move forward with hope from the betrayal of their spouse’s sexual sin. This care group setting will provide a safe, gospel-centered environment to heal in a godly community of women who understand the pain that comes from being sinned against in this way while finding hope in Christ’s ability to redeem and make all things new.

Biblical Counseling

We live in a broken world. That brokenness is evident in the heartaches and hurts of offenses done against us as well as our own offenses that we’ve committed against others. We may find ourselves in our own prison, wondering if we will ever experience true freedom. The good news is that into our broken world, God sent a Savior to bring hope in the midst of the brokenness around us. Through Jesus, there is grace, forgiveness, restoration, and freedom.

If you or someone you know is currently struggling and in need of help, there is help available through our Biblical Counseling Ministry. Our counseling is for anyone 13 and older and currently we offer biblical counseling to members and regular attenders of Spring Lake Church.
